My wedding coordinator has forbidden me to do any planning for the next 2 weeks. It's been kinda nice not nit-picking the minutia for a bit. :-)
I have been playing around on websites for weddings, but nothing serious. I figure I do the fun stuff, she deals with the vendors. Lucky her!

...in other news...wedding planning is going along fairly well.  Carl is warming up to the idea of planning. Right now my biggest concern is that I haven't figured out what I want to do for photography. I have two amazing options: one is a friend that does really good work and two is a professional who also does amazing work. In going to a professional, I know I have experience behind me and print availability. My friend is more cost effective but I won't have ant professional prints; I would be stuck with walmart. I think I will go with a professional and see if my friend could do day after shots... we'll see... maybe she and her sister can do the groom's cake!

Last weekend I went to a wedding that was extremely simple and very small. It made me think, holy cow I have nine months to go! It was very elegant and I really enjoyed myself. I hope that mine is just as fun! I really enjoyed the photo booth option and now I want a chocolate fountain! Thanks a lot Allie!

I really need to start the bridal bootcamp program.  I'm getting really sick of all these extra rolls. Maybe I can get that diet program under way...

I don't know how to handle the finances. I feel like I'm counting on money that is not really there . I hope that by the time we get married will be able to afford the extra stuff we want. Right now we know we have the bases covered and that is what's really important .

By the way when you're dictating your blog to your phone you must  be very careful about how you say things! You would not believe the typos I had to edit out of this post!

Ok, so I suck at this.  I am not a daily journaller obviously.  New in the wedding news? Hired a wedding planner.  Just couldn't do the leg work long distance.  Got a killer deal because my BFF owns a fabulous business in the Phoenix Wedding industry.  Still trying to decide on a photographer...friend or student or pro?!

March 23, 2011 - 359 Days to Go!

As if wedding planning isn't enough of a pain, I decided to blog about all the different steps I go through each day trying to stay on top of the plans, the vendors, the venues, the groom and all the family involved.  Carl and I are family people, so we value the opinions of our loved ones, but it gets to be a tricky balance at times.  Today I changed the email I had been using for wedding purposes to a more "professional" email account.  The original email I made was for research purposes and was kind of a joke.  The new one is much easier to remember for my vendors and for my RSVPs. :-)
